The Darjeeling and Himalayan Railway has an atmosphere like no other; railway enthusiasts all over the world are drawn to it like a magnet. It was only a matter of time before we were also seduced by its charm.
 
This is a fully 16mm scale model of the original covered wagon before they were re-roofed later in their life due to rusting. Our model comes with a wealth of detail, like paneling, rivets, bell wire guide, bogie detail, hand brake system, door latches, pressed door panels etc.
 
We believe our wagon kit is by far the most detailed and easy to build 16mm Darjeeling model to have been commercially made to date. The main reason why it is so easy to build is due to its one piece body and chassis. The kit also comes with bogies, brass castings, chain, wire and all fittings to finish the model.
