A very characterful little Guard's Van from the Welsh Slate Museum. The original is constructed from riveted sheet steel. Perfectly suited to our smaller wagon range.

With thanks to the National Slate Museum of Wales for pictorial help, we have been able to use the Guard's Van they have as a guide for the modelling of our little tin box. For many reasons, it was not possible to make a pure scale model, but the final sizing of our van fits perfectly with our 'Small Wagon' range. This Guard's Van will be equally well suited to all 16mm rolling stock in the smaller sizes.

The highly detailed body is a one piece casting, with the roof and chassis simply gluing into position for an easy construction. The model comes in 32mm or 45mm on 20mm curly 6 spoke Binnie wheels. Separate window frames are included with the kit to trap the glass for an easy fit. A short length of brass strip is also included for the construction of a lamp bracket as well as two brass door 'T' handles.
